Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

Withdrawal

Even though I was feeling pretty blaagh this morning, I had no choice but to take Harley for a walk. After yesterday, when he got no exercise, he was a bit too energised this morning and desperately needed to release some of it.

We walked for almost an hour.

When I got home, I cooked breakfast for everyone and then went back to bed.

I got up to start on my seahorse art but didn’t last very long, returned to bed and slept for a couple of hours.

Adoring Husband reheated last nights leftovers for dinner so I didn’t have to concern myself with that. I could only handle a couple of mouthfuls and once again returned to bed.

It’s now almost 9.30pm and Harley is curled up and sleeping, while I am sitting in bed watching Wimbledon. I didn’t watch much last night and was asleep about ten minutes after signing off on my blog post!

I was a bit annoyed because the two matches that I wanted to watch were not televised. I guess I need to get into the channel nine app to choose my matches.

Anyway, that’s it for me. I hope I’m feeling more motivated and energised tomorrow. Today was not pleasant.

Nite all.
