Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

Fabulous Federer

It's almost midnight, and here I am, still awake to watch Wimbledon ... again!

I have spent a lazy day watching the sixth season of 'Friends', whilst sitting on the couch with Adoring Husband, who slept during two episodes!

The day started with rain and the forecast showed that we should have rain until Tuesday, but it's a very starry night, so I find it difficult to believe that it will rain tomorrow.

I have less than a week til I fly to my friend, BGWLBH, for two weeks.

This was taken just before my 'hen's night'.   Vegan Chickie, BGWLBH and I attempting to pose like Charlie's Angels.
It's going to be cold.

I'm stressing a little over the weather down that way, because I sent most of my warm clothes to the  Salvation Army and the rest of my warm clothes don't fit me any more because I've gained weight!

My lovely little Chicklet has been giggling her little heart out today.  She also popped her first tooth yesterday!  She didn't seem to have too much discomfort with it at all!

I tried to upload the sounds of her giggling for you, but I keep getting an error message!

How disappointing!

I will figure something out eventually ... but not tonight.  I am off to watch the Fabulous Federer play his tennis match against Nalbandian.

Nite all
