Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

To Don’t List

Once again, my ‘to do’ list didn’t get done.

It didn’t even get started!

Meditation was enlightening and turned into a long morning catch up for the girls and a meaningful morning conversation between The Gypsy and I.

They had all left by 10.30am and from there I was flat out busy.

Sales were excellent, I had three visitors and the last customer left ten minutes after my usual closing time.

I felt a bit flustered because absolutely nothing else got done and there is MORE added to my list for tomorrow.

I put a chicken in the oven for dinner and then sat down to do some paperwork, which I discovered upon completion, didn’t need to be done!

Ugh!

We watched a silly movie and I reheated last nights mash, cooked some broccoli and made a delicious gravy to go with the chicken. It was a tasty dinner.

We watched the Farmer Wants a Wife reunion and then hit the bed.

I’m feeling pretty weary now and it’s after 11pm so…

Nite all.
