Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

My Decision

I’ve decided to use one day each week to purge my covid knowledge here.

Because I can 😬

Since Sunday is my bed study day, I’ll post my purge that night and you, if you should choose to accept my challenge, will read it on Monday.

Otherwise, now that you know what to expect on Mondays, you can also choose to avoid it.

Fair warning.

My weekend has been completely unproductive with most of it spent in bed watching videos and  interviews, news footage, phone camera footage from every angle of protest marches, checking data from all different country govt sites regarding covid and vaccinations and looking at everything posted on the uncensored platforms.

So I guess it was a bit productive - just not in ways that would improve the cleanliness, tidiness or order of my bedroom or house!

I removed myself from the bed at lunch time, showered and washed my hair and spent some time with Adoring Husband. We watched a Margo Robbie movie called ‘Dreamland’ which I quite liked. It was nothing spectacular but it was a decent movie.

I made my version of a zucchini slice for dinner and Adoring Husband asked for a second serve. It was quite tasty served with a tomato, cucumber and avocado salsa. I also chopped up some mango with mine.

I have very much enjoyed my weekend and am looking forward to work tomorrow.

There’ll be no meditation this week because The Gypsy has a specialist appointment so I’ll get to sleep in.

It’s almost midnight!! Sleep time for me.

Nite all.
