Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

Boom!

Our coffee morning with just The Brains Trust and Beauty in attendance ended much earlier than usual because I got busy in the shop.

The Happy Hippy came to clean. Love it when she’s done her work.

It stayed busy until 12.30pm and then it went deadly silent.

I did have a visitor in the last hour and we discussed all things covid. I don’t have a name for her yet but she’ll be moving here soon and I’m guessing she’ll get a regular mention here because we have a similar mindset about the current situation in Australia.

We chatted for over thirty minutes before Adoring Husband arrived to close the shop.

It was a great day of sales! Better than a blinder but not a record breaker … I’ll call it a Boom day!

Journaling was great. Forty five minutes of talking and the same of writing, so it was productive.

We didn’t have to set up for meditation because The Gypsy has other commitments tomorrow. This means I get to sleep in!

It also meant that we got home thirty minutes earlier than usual.

AH had already started cooking the baked chicken and vegetables for dinner so I put my feet up and relaxed for the afternoon. My only contribution was making the gravy. Dinner was delicious!

Vegan Chickie is still keeping me up to date with my girl’s growth …

All in all it’s been a pretty great day.

Tomorrow will be just as good.

Time for me to sleep now.

Nite all.
