Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

Held Together

Yes. Today was one of those days ...

I held it together while sitting up in bed ALL day. My only achievement was putting together a salad to have with the protein that Adoring Husband cooked on the barbecue.

There was no swimming, no cleaning, no cooking, no washing, no studying, no reading ... I simply lost myself in social media all day long.

Tomorrow is another day.

I'm going to try this ...

I'm not sure if I can give you photographic evidence, but I'll try 😁

The Brains Trust sent me this pic from our High Tea date last week ...

Though the subjects in this picture are quite lovely, credit goes to the amazing photographer for creating something very special 😉 My phone camera couldn't see this well in the shadows!

Adoring Husband got hooked on the Binge channel and spent many hours watching Grey's Anatomy today. A nice change from his usual Sci-fi binge watching!

We've had some good rain this afternoon. I emptied our gauge before the rain came but I haven't checked the outcome of the downpour yet. I know that The Bay received about 46mm today, which is fabulous.

Now it's time for some meditation, followed by more sleep to heal my brain.

Have a great Sunday!!

Nite all.
