... beautiful morning! Oh what a beautiful day!
The movie "Oklahoma" was on today.
I tried to sing along, but Adoring Husband turned the volume up on the TV so that he wouldn't have to listen to me 😳
Rude bastard (excuse my language).
So I went into my dining/art room to be creative and use up all the paints that I had in containers from previous stints at the table. Mostly blues and greens ...
I had slept until 8.40am and then watched art videos on youtube for a couple of hours. Adoring Husband brought my celery juice, coffee and toast during the morning.
I got out of bed after 12.30pm so that I could put the lamb shanks in the slow cooker, then I spent an hour cleaning all the tools and cups and stirrers and paraphernalia so that I had all of my resources available and at my fingertips for working without interruption.
These five pieces took about three hours all up.
I had to stop to finish cooking dinner and after dinner became distracted by House Rules and then The Voice.
The battery in this MacBook Pro is running very low, so I'm signing off before it dies on me.
I need a reasonably early night to prepare for another big week at work ... at least I hope it will be another big week. I know that I need to order some more linen clothes because they are walking out the door!
Who knew!?
Have a great week!!
Nite all.
I'm lazy and selfish and spend too much time on the internet. I love to be creative with photography and jewellery and sketching with pencil and pastels. I'm happier now than I have ever been and I love everything about my life ... where I live, my home, my fantastic grown up children, my lifestyle, my friends, my dogs and last but not least my wonderful adoring husband. Life is good!
Nice to see you!
Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.
Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.
Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**
Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!
So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!
Welcome to my dilemna!!
