Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

Underdog

You know I always support the underdog.

I really hoped Sverev would put on a better show against Sinner but his confidence needs some work.

Disappointing.

Adoring Husband and I caught up on all the “I’m a Celebrity” eps from last week and tonight I flipped back and forth between that and the tennis.

I’m excited that MAFS starts tomorrow night and next week, Australian Idol commences.

I guess my evenings are booked out for a couple of months!

Tonight, I’ve written a letter to Chicklet and added a little more to my art journal. I reckon I can finish the first page of the journal tomorrow.

AH mowed the front footpath and half of the front lawn this morning. He was so hot when he finished, he stripped off and jumped into the pool.

I’ve had a relaxing day. My only real chore was cooking curried lamb mince served with baked sweet potato in their jackets. The lamb mince was full of vegetables like celery, capsicum, carrot, potato, onion, garlic, mushroom and ginger.

It was quite tasty, with a good kick of heat and very healthful.

Now it’s time for me to sleep.

Nite all.
