Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

End of Easter

I had to rush a photo for this week’s 52Frames theme of “over/under-exposed”

I’ve submitted the worst photo ever, but at least I’m keeping my streak of submitted pics up!

I had some great ideas in my head but no motivation to leave the house to put them into practice, so really, my failure was self inflicted.

After many attempts in all areas of the house and yard, I decided on a section of one my pieces of art and under exposed it as if it was dark under the ocean …

I’m a bit embarrassed to share it here, but you know, take the good with the bad.

I watched two recorded Twilight Zone episodes and last week’s Taskmaster until my quiz shows came on, then I got a quick Harley play in before the football started.

The football result was disappointing for Adoring Husband and I, but only one person in the tipping comp tipped correctly, so it didn’t have a huge affect on things.

Thankfully, I had made two lasagnas last night, so all I had to do was turn on the oven and top up the leftover salad for dinner.

Farmer Wants a Wife started tonight!

No meditation tomorrow.

Maybe a Bay day???

Time to sleep.

Nite all.
