Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

Just Another Day

Wrap your laughing gear around THIS and tell me what you think … https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1Fimh2okyk/?mibextid=wwXIfr

I am currently lying in bed listening to a storm approaching.

It’s loud but there’s not been much (if any) rain so far. LOTS of lightning and thunder!

I enjoyed another quiet day, rising very late, after a restless night with tummy issues.

After Harley play, Adoring Husband and I caught up on last weeks Gogglebox episode and then decided to check Netflix.

I have been searching for the Clare Dane/Leonardo Di Caprio version of Romeo and Juliet for about 2 years and today, it suddenly popped up on Netflix!

So I prepared my lunch/dinner at 3pm and set myself in front of the TV with AH beside me and enjoyed every minute of this great movie.

AH had never seen it. The only thing that he knew about Romeo and Juliet, was that it was written by William Shakespeare. He didn’t even know the story.

Even though the language is difficult to follow, the movie is done well enough that you can easily follow and understand what’s going on.

AH remained awake and even became a little emotional in places. That’s saying a lot!

After that, we watched some live golf and I came to bed at 7pm, have already napped briefly (until Harley jumped on me), and I’m ready for an early night to make up for last night.

Nite all.
