After just 4 hours sleep, I caught the train to the Sunny Coast at 5.45am today. I slept most of the way which made the trip seem very short!
The Nikonian was waiting at the station, with her big happy smile, and we spent the day shopping and visiting and chatting and laughing and planning.
So to cut to the chase ... here are some facebook quotes ...
... and I am exhausted and ready for sleep before 9.30pm.
I don't know what the access is like for internet at Bunya Mountains, so if I don't post here for a couple of days, don't panic ... I will catch you up after the weekend.
I'm excited about what awaits us!
Nite all.
I'm lazy and selfish and spend too much time on the internet. I love to be creative with photography and jewellery and sketching with pencil and pastels. I'm happier now than I have ever been and I love everything about my life ... where I live, my home, my fantastic grown up children, my lifestyle, my friends, my dogs and last but not least my wonderful adoring husband. Life is good!
Nice to see you!
Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.
Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.
Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**
Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!
So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!
Welcome to my dilemna!!
