This is the song that Adoring Husband and I played while we were signing the register at the completion of our wedding vows. I just love it and it always makes me feel emotional when I hear it.
I actually got out and about today. I went for a ride and finally got to visit The Motivator and her Mum, who is still here on her extended holiday. I took a dozen eggs to her and she responded by giving me a sand crab and a bottle of delicious green salad dressing!
I worked on some photo editing .. learned how to use some presets and actions .. but just when I was ready to use them on some real photos, I got a phone call from Chicklet and Vegan Chickie!!
I was happy to put the editing on hold so that I could chat with them for about 45 minutes. Only five more sleeps until I get to spend about three weeks with Chicklet while she babysits me!
After our phone call, it was time to cook dinner and then I was in for an evening of trashy TV viewing, after massaging some healing oil into AH's aching joints.
'Married at First Sight', 'Winners and Losers', '800 Words'.
I'm looking forward to lunch with the ladies tomorrow!
Here it is 11.30pm already and it's time for bed.
Nite all!
I'm lazy and selfish and spend too much time on the internet. I love to be creative with photography and jewellery and sketching with pencil and pastels. I'm happier now than I have ever been and I love everything about my life ... where I live, my home, my fantastic grown up children, my lifestyle, my friends, my dogs and last but not least my wonderful adoring husband. Life is good!
Nice to see you!
Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.
Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.
Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**
Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!
So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!
Welcome to my dilemna!!
