My weather app told me all last week that it was going to rain all of this week.
Not all day, every day.
But every day, there’s a 60% - 90% chance of some rain.
So far, there had been no rain this week.
This morning, as BGWLBH and I drove to a late breakfast, the sky was clear and blue and we discussed the sorely inaccurate weather app.
Our breakfast destination of choice, was Arkarra Tea Gardens …
Unusually so, the service was very slow and instead of the usual 15-20 minutes, it took 35 minutes for the food to arrive. There was only one other table with 8 women seated and they already had their coffees. They didn’t order food.
By the time we left the tea gardens, it was 11am.
Not long after 12pm, while we were in Coles shopping for groceries, the heavens opened and down came the rains!
We finished shopping, stopped at the butcher and ordered our juices then rushed through the rain to the car.
The next stop was Eli Waters for the bakery, the newsagent, woollies, seafood and farm gate.
It was still raining.
On the way home, 5 minutes out of the bay, it was not raining, the road was dry. It had not rained in our town either!
After unpacking all of the shopping, I lay down for half an hour.
Dinner was the last two chicken schnitzels that I’d crumbed and frozen 2 weeks ago. I made a wombok salad, a garden salad and boiled potatoes in peppered butter.
I was in bed by 6pm because my gut had given me grief all day and was still a problem this evening.
Now I’m very weary so it’s an early night for me.
Nite all.
