The June challenge for our flickr group has been set.
The theme is 'A moving subject taken at 1/6th of a second'
My first thought was "Wow, that's a GOOD one!"
Having tried a few shots today at that shutter speed, I've decided that it SUCKS!!
So BGWLBH is on a mission to do as much research online as she can, to come up with a variety of ideas that we can try over the coming days.
We have a couple of ideas to try tomorrow, because today's attempts were terrible failures!
This is the good thing about The Master's challenges ... we learn a lot from them. They can be as frustrating as hell, but in the end we learn and we improve. That's what it's all about.
We spent a long time out and about this morning. BGWLBH in her new walking shoes and me on the trike.
She got to explore some parts of the town that she hadn't seen before and she got LOTS of exercise.
There is almost always something going on at the Seat of Knowledge. This Little Pied Cormorant has been hanging around for a couple of mornings now.
This one was Adoring Husband's favourite.
I've been sitting up tonight, hoping to watch Sam Stosur play in the French Open semi-finals, but there has been a rain delay, so I'm off to bed.
I'm hoping to have a Chicklet family afternoon tomorrow, so I don't want to be tired for that!
So I apologise for my short post this evening, but my brain hurts from trying to think of something outstanding for the flickr challenge!
Maybe tomorrow will see some success.
Nite all.
I'm lazy and selfish and spend too much time on the internet. I love to be creative with photography and jewellery and sketching with pencil and pastels. I'm happier now than I have ever been and I love everything about my life ... where I live, my home, my fantastic grown up children, my lifestyle, my friends, my dogs and last but not least my wonderful adoring husband. Life is good!
Nice to see you!
Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.
Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.
Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**
Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!
So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!
Welcome to my dilemna!!
