Oops, I forgot to put the correct title to my last two posts! Ah well ... catch-up time.
Another short one tonight.
I am oh so grateful to witness this for the second year in a row and hope to experience it for many years to come. This, apparently, is the 7th year in a row that these Tawnies have nested in the same tree.
I am so in love with these gorgeous little creatures.
They are so curious and inquisitive, that as I walk around the tree to find different angles to photograph them, they shuffle across the nest and around Mum and lean over the nest to watch me.
Just as I go to photograph one of them, the other pops his/her head into the picture.
They had me giggling this morning as I tried to trick them and their cute little faces would appear from nowhere.
**swoon**
So this is what I am grateful for today and I will miss them so much when I go away for two weeks!
Nite all.
I'm lazy and selfish and spend too much time on the internet. I love to be creative with photography and jewellery and sketching with pencil and pastels. I'm happier now than I have ever been and I love everything about my life ... where I live, my home, my fantastic grown up children, my lifestyle, my friends, my dogs and last but not least my wonderful adoring husband. Life is good!
Nice to see you!
Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.
Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.
Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**
Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!
So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!
Welcome to my dilemna!!
