A few minutes with the boys at The Seat of Knowledge.
Coffee.
A surprise stop at The Motivator's house. I had asked her to critique my ebook, which she did, with surprising results! She was impressed.
While we were chatting with the bubba Tawny Frogmouth chick high in the tree, The Motivator noticed the mother sitting on the ground in the driveway!! This is my interaction with her ...
I came home at 11am and spent four hours in my workspace .. with nothing much to show for it! I've asked Adoring Husband to bring my coffee in the morning, so that I don't have to leave the house and can spend the entire day working at my desk.
It took me AGES to cook up a billion pork/chicken meatballs tonight, but at least there is enough left over for AH to have for lunch tomorrow and I won't have to stop work to prepare his meal.
That is it.
Almost 11pm and I'm off to bed.
Nite all.
I'm lazy and selfish and spend too much time on the internet. I love to be creative with photography and jewellery and sketching with pencil and pastels. I'm happier now than I have ever been and I love everything about my life ... where I live, my home, my fantastic grown up children, my lifestyle, my friends, my dogs and last but not least my wonderful adoring husband. Life is good!
Nice to see you!
Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.
Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.
Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**
Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!
So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!
Welcome to my dilemna!!
