Here I am, way past midnight, watching movies, shopping online and blogging ... talk about multi-tasking!
I just made my first jewellery order, which should be here by next Wednesday, ready to sell on my website .. let's hope I can have the website live by then!
We had a fabulous lunch at the Woodgate Pub for our lady's Christmas break-up today. The weather was glorious. Just a touch windy on the return trip. The food was good. Not spectacular, but good enough. The service was warm and friendly and even though a lot of the regular ladies weren't able to attend today, the group that we had was a good mix and we had some laughs.
Needless to say, I have done nothing else today, except relax with Adoring Husband since I returned from lunch.
I haven't even edited the photos from today, so I can't share them yet.
I did discuss, with a new lady, the idea of taking paying groups on photography outings, to teach them how to use their cameras and how to take photos.
It's definitely time to seriously consider this option in the new year because I've had four different enquiries in the last 12 months. Perhaps it can be my mission for the new year.
I was also invited to art classes, which I am very excited about! The first session will be creating a pottery bust. The classes begin in the first week of January.
So much to look forward to next year! Art classes, my website, a seminar in Sydney in February, babysitting Chicklet in March, Adoring Husband's big 60th birthday bash in October, a road trip at the end of the year. It's going to be a good year.
Now I'm going to attempt to climb into bed before 1am.
Nite all.
I'm lazy and selfish and spend too much time on the internet. I love to be creative with photography and jewellery and sketching with pencil and pastels. I'm happier now than I have ever been and I love everything about my life ... where I live, my home, my fantastic grown up children, my lifestyle, my friends, my dogs and last but not least my wonderful adoring husband. Life is good!
Nice to see you!
Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.
Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.
Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**
Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!
So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!
Welcome to my dilemna!!
