Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

Creeping Up

My beautiful citrine pendant created by Elemental Formations in Eumundi on The Sunny Coast.

It's hand-made with sterling silver, I love it so much and feels fabulous to wear.

Citrine is one of the two gemstones that don't absorb negative energy and doesn't require cleansing. Blue Kyanite is the other - which is my other favourite stone.

Citrine is the stone of abundance. That's what I want for 2019.

It was a good day in the shop and we also took delivery of some new stock which I didn't even get to open.

I didn't get home until almost 5pm.

We had fruit for dinner.

At 7.30pm I went for a swim ...

It was so nice floating on the water and watching the clouds floating past the moon with the soft blue underwater light reflecting across the pool.

Thirty minutes of perfect peaceful serenity.

Tonight I've watched 'The Holiday' for the umpteenth time and I still love it.

Adoring Husband catches the train to Brisvegas tomorrow morning for an appointment with the Professor who is monitoring the Parkinson's. The Motivator has been kind enough to drive us to the train station at stupid o'clock, so I should be getting some sleep since I will be accompanying them.

It's my day off, and when I return home from the station, I might just grab my camera bag and pedal in search of some interesting subject matter to photograph.

Anyway, sleep for me.

Nite all.
