Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

Ending the Week

Thursday and Friday have been pretty quiet around here.

Adoring Husband played golf on Thursday while I stayed at home with my butt parked on the couch. I think I watched “Pitch Perfect” that day and a couple of the “Twilight” movies. Had lots of cuddling time with Harley. It was a nice, quiet relaxing day.

I made easy hamburgers for dinner.

We had storms last night with some good rain. There were forecasts for more tonight but there has been nothing.

Today was another relaxing day. AH had to go buy some new golf shoes so he was gone for a little while.

I played with Harley, returned to bed for some quiet time, coloured in on my app, watched some telly and made some lunch.

At my afternoon play time with Harley, I decided to go for a swim - first swim of the season! The water was perfect and I swam a few laps in between tossing the ball for him.

A nice way to spend the afternoon.

This evening was chicken and trivia.

Now it’s time to sleep.

Nite all.
