Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

Checking In

At 9.23am, Adoring Husband sent a text to me asking if I was alive!

He did that because I was still in bed. As was Harley!

Last night, I found my favourite “deep sleep and cellular healing” music on YouTube - it’s only the second time I’ve used it because I was testing all the others in the mix - but this one has twice put me into a deep sound sleep for more than 8 hours, so I’ll use it every night.

I turned on the music at 11pm and I woke up at 8.17am. I didn’t even get up to pee during the night!

So AH’s text read “Are you alive?”

I replied “Thanks for asking 😊 yes”

Harley also didn’t stir all night and didn’t try to wake me at the usual time either, so it must affect him too.

There was nothing happening today, so AH and I caught up on our favourite TV shows from the night before and there was Harley play.

Tonight I made curry puffs with mash, green beans and snow peas followed by home made apple strudel and ice cream.

Yummo.

Tomorrow I have two dates. One with my art girls and one with Heart of Gold 💛 It should be a good day!

So I need another good sleep tonight.

Nite all.
