Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

Riding the Week

It has been a big week.

Meditation and funeral on Tuesday.

Drive into The Bay Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Tomorrow will be another trip into The Bay for Pier Markets, breakfast, an art and craft garage sale and finally our first visit to Hervey Bay Art Society - Gallery 5.

I’m already exhausted just thinking about it! But I’m also excited about all the arty farty fun we’re going to have!

I’ve decided to not watch the golf tonight so as to have a decent nights sleep. We plan on leaving at 6.30am so no mucking around!

It seems that both Friday and Saturday have become ‘fend for yourself’ nights for dinner.

BGWLBH had last nights leftover soup.

I’m not sure what Adoring Husband had, but it included some boiled rice that I had leftover from my honey king prawns with eggy rice.

It’s only 7.15pm and I’m in bed watching the football. Canberra Raiders are beating Brisbane Broncos 24-16 with 30 minutes remaining in the second half.

I’m feeling very weary, so I could be asleep very soon.

PS Broncos defeated Raiders 34-30 - unbelievable!

Nite all.
