Wednesday was a great day at the shop.
Good sales with a few visitors in town and still enough time to set up the training room for the art workshop on Saturday.
We had to rush into town straight after closing the shop to make a 3.30pm appointment with our financial planners.
We were late only because we got every red light in The Bay and there was a bank up of slow moving traffic. Something we’ve never encountered before.
It was a good meeting which ended right on 5pm and because we hadn’t planned dinner, we drove to the supermarket and I bought some wild caught salmon.
Today (Thursday) has been relaxing.
Adoring Husband jumped into the pool after mowing the lawn so I climbed out of bed and joined him. The water was lovely and cool and we took each of the psychotic dogs in for a swim. I did a few laps, tried unsuccessfully to convince AH to do some moving exercises in the water. We played catch with the ball for a while.
AH eventually deserted me and I enjoyed some time under the Bali hut on my own.
I did some washing, gave psychotic dog Ruby a bath and put some drops in her eyes. We had some more wild caught salmon for dinner. I love that stuff.
Bubbles arrives at 11am tomorrow (Friday) and we are ready for her! I can’t wait for a Bubbles cuddle!
The Motivator had another great day at the shop today, so things are going quite well for the ‘usually quiet’ February.
It’s almost midnight so I’d best get some sleep.
Nite all.
I'm lazy and selfish and spend too much time on the internet. I love to be creative with photography and jewellery and sketching with pencil and pastels. I'm happier now than I have ever been and I love everything about my life ... where I live, my home, my fantastic grown up children, my lifestyle, my friends, my dogs and last but not least my wonderful adoring husband. Life is good!
Nice to see you!
Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.
Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.
Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**
Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!
So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!
Welcome to my dilemna!!
