Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

TGIF

This weeks theme for 52Frames is “What I Ate”

This is what I ate …

How’s that!?

How brave am I?!?!?

No make up and very up close and personal!

The watermelon was delicious!

It was a struggle editing on my desktop computer which is soooooooooo slooooowwwww and freezes at least once with every use. I just cannot edit photos on it any more.

Time for a new laptop.

So it took about 1.5 hours to set up and take the photo, do the editing and then submit it. A job that should have taken twenty minutes, if that.

Adoring Husband and I pulled our water filter apart this morning, to replace the two different types of mineral rocks and beads and put in a brand new filter drum. Unfortunately, one of the bags of rocks need to soak in water for for 24-48 hours, which we didn’t know about. These particular rocks get replaced only once every five years.

So tomorrow will be the big day to finish the job.

We received a good drop of rain this afternoon and evening but it seems to have cleared now.

I watched the Hobart Hurricanes defeat the Sydney Thunder in BBL. Hobart are looking very good this season.

Time to sleep now.

Nite all.
