Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

A Winning Day

Brisbane Broncos

2025 NRL Champions!

What a game! It was exhausting!

I had a cushion over my face for the last 20 minutes.

Broncos were losing at half time 12-22 and I was feeling very concerned. They have a good record for coming back in the second half, but Melbourne Storm are an exceptional team and I didn’t think they’d allow Broncos to come back.

I was wrong! Melbourne Storm didn’t have a choice. Broncos were ruthless and their defence was awesome.

Winning score Broncos 26 Storm 22. Which means that Storm were kept scoreless in the second half.

For the first time in her life, my sister was supporting Broncos! I have proof!

Even Number One Son was cheering Broncos!

BGWLBH said that she heard through her open bedroom window, the whole street cheer, on the final siren.

Broncos were the underdogs and outsiders to win.

I’m so happy!

I’m so tired!

BGWLBH and I did the Nikenbah markets this morning.

It was huge and took us quite a while to get to all of the stalls.

I purchased a few Christmas gifts and we had coffee and juice. The carpark was hectic! We bumped into a couple of people that we know and chatted for a bit.

It was a great morning.

We arrived home in time for me to watch the women’s nrl grand final - Broncos won that too!

It’s been a winning day.

Now I need to sleep.

Nite all.
