Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

Artfully Gathered

I had a very pleasant morning with my art girls at the Lions Park.

There were six of us in attendance and we all had a lot to say!

Whenever we hit a subject that we were excited about, we were all trying to speak at once and sounded loud like a hen house!

After 2 hours, we’d arranged our next lunch at Torbanlea Pub, said our goodbyes, but still paused and lingered before we reached the cars.

This was my ride for the day …

… we stopped at The Motivator’s house to drop off a dvd and pick up some pumpkin vines.

The Madam came to my house to say hello to Harley and do some research in self publishing a book and very soon I was left on my own.

BGWLBH had gone into The Bay and Adoring Husband was golfing with the Burrum Bangers so I enjoyed a couple of hours of peace with my best mate Harley.

I cooked chicken saltimbocca for dinner and served it with leftover roast vegetables and fresh green beans and snow peas.

We played trivia, watched Gogglebox and came to bed.

I’m observing the tennis score online, between Z Bergs and N Djokovic who are playing in the quarter finals of the Shanghai Masters. Djokovic won the first set and it’s 4-4 in the second set.

I’m ready for sleep.

Nite all.
