In short, my day consisted of twenty minutes of excellent quality cuddling time with Adoring Husband while I gathered the courage to leave the warm bed to prepare for nine holes of low quality golf.
Short, but high quality, hammock time.
Two medium quality dvds - being 'The Lake House' and 'A Star is Born' (Barbra & Kris), which created lovely quality Vegan Chickie time.
A number of brief, but top quality, Chicklet times.
Poor quality kitchen time, which in turn produced poor quality food.
Proof of a genuinely high quality son-in-law who ate all of the poor quality food.
Good quality fun and giggling around the dining table triggered by hysteria from low quality sleep.
Toss of a coin quality junk food for after dinner.
Sad quality attempt to post something here at almost 11.30pm when I have to get some sleep before an early start tomorrow morning for water aerobics.
I can't even stay awake long enough to replace quality for quantity. Let's try this again tomorrow :o)
I'm lazy and selfish and spend too much time on the internet. I love to be creative with photography and jewellery and sketching with pencil and pastels. I'm happier now than I have ever been and I love everything about my life ... where I live, my home, my fantastic grown up children, my lifestyle, my friends, my dogs and last but not least my wonderful adoring husband. Life is good!
Nice to see you!
Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.
Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.
Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**
Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!
So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!
Welcome to my dilemna!!
