Remember how disappointed I was in our whale trip a few weeks back???
This trip was absolutely amazing and we got some brilliant shots of males, females and calves.
You know that I have to share them with you!
There were about fifteen of us from our indoor bowls group, as well as Adoring Husband and Kiwi Gal, who went today on the Tasman Venture.

The crew were happy and friendly, the boat very comfortable for whale watching, as well as fast for getting to the viewing area quickly.
There were lots of whales and they were very active. Mothers showing off their calves and males slapping the water with their tails and fins, trying to get the other whale's attention.
The males and the calves were breaching and having a wonderful time on such a glorious sunny day! It was only at the end of our trip when the skies became grey and gloomy, but it didn't matter to us by then.
Afterwards, we all gathered at the Boat Club for a very nice lunch.
I am a very happy chappy and I had a whale of a time :o)
Nite all.
I'm lazy and selfish and spend too much time on the internet. I love to be creative with photography and jewellery and sketching with pencil and pastels. I'm happier now than I have ever been and I love everything about my life ... where I live, my home, my fantastic grown up children, my lifestyle, my friends, my dogs and last but not least my wonderful adoring husband. Life is good!
Nice to see you!
Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.
Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.
Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**
Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!
So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!
Welcome to my dilemna!!
