Before you start reading, you need to know that I am a bit of a Snoopy fan, so this post has both a Christmas AND a Snoopy theme.
There have been a lot of people complaining about the term 'Happy Holidays' lately and then getting cranky with me for defending the people who use it.
I just want to say "to each his own".
Who cares what anybody says? They are just words. It's the festive season and we should be feeling the love and wishing everybody happiness, not arguing over words.
So personally, I don't mind whether you say Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays .. as long as you are showing love and kindness to your fellow humans, that's all that matters.
I hope you've all had a lovely and loving Christmas day ... love from me.
Nite all.
I'm lazy and selfish and spend too much time on the internet. I love to be creative with photography and jewellery and sketching with pencil and pastels. I'm happier now than I have ever been and I love everything about my life ... where I live, my home, my fantastic grown up children, my lifestyle, my friends, my dogs and last but not least my wonderful adoring husband. Life is good!
Nice to see you!
Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.
Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.
Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**
Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!
So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!
Welcome to my dilemna!!
