Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

Nothing Much

A very lazy Sunday.

Breakfast under the Bali hut and more than an hour just sitting and enjoying the sunshine, the breeze, the light reflecting off the water and dancing on the ceiling of the hut, the birds singing and the wind rustling the Bali grass on the roof.

A perfectly delightful Sunday morning.

I did more work on my octopus painting until the footy started.

I watched both games of footy and prepared salmon steaks with a big bowl of salad almost all from the garden for dinner, followed by fruit whip for dessert.

A stack of new series started tonight,

The Block, which is BGWLBH’s favourite. She watched it in the outdoor area.

I recorded MKR so that we can watch it tomorrow.

Adoring Husband and I watched The Masked Singer.

The new series of Spicks and Specks started tonight which we’ll watch on iview later.

Now I think I’ll fall asleep to the sound of The Commonwealth Games. We’re having a girly day in The Bay starting with breakfast somewhere, so I need to sleep.

Nite all.
