Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

In a Nutshell

Inside one hour at the Doctor’s surgery we discovered that Adoring Husband has substantial tears in two tendons in his right shoulder.

One of those tears has been there for 9 years and has reduced in size over that time but to give these tears  a chance to heal, he needs a cortisone injection and regular physio therapy. That will get underway at the beginning of next month.

His other scan showed a minimal problem that we can fix on our own.

We went to Main Street Radiology to make an appointment for the cortisone injection but they required the results of a RAT before the procedure.

We said NO, cancelled the appointment and drove to the hospital radiology department where we were given an appointment a month sooner than the other place and they required no such test results. They were also much friendlier and more helpful.

The other place was going to charge $245 but the hospital bulk billed.

We ran a few errands before heading home including purchasing treats and toys for Harley!

This afternoon was filled with preparing the coming weeks meals for Harley, putting the ingredients for bone broth in the slow cooker, making lamb loin chops with salad and coleslaw for dinner, watching Cronulla Sharks defeat QLD Cowboys (great for my tipping) and doing some art while sitting on the couch.

Still a work in progress.

Now it’s after midnight. Time to sleep.

Nite all.
