Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

Feisty Footy

I am watching Parramatta Eels vs Melbourne Storm NRL game.

It’s feisty!

Storm are third on the ladder.

Eels are 14th on the ladder.

Storm are winning 16-10 and it really shouldn’t be that close!

As I type this, there are 3 minutes remaining in the game.

I’ve tipped Storm, as has everyone else in the tipping comp.

Today was another quiet day.

Adoring Husband played golf today and had his best result, coming second out of twelve players.

Well done!

I played 5 games of Sequence with BGWLBH - she won 3-2.

I watched the old movie The China Syndrome starring Jane Fonda, Michael Douglas and Jack Lemmon. I’d forgotten what a good movie it was and I really enjoyed it.

Dinner was GF beef pies with sweet potato and potato mash, snow peas, green beans and carrots.

We played trivia until the football started.

Melbourne Storm have won.

Feels a bit chilly tonight. 14°C (feels like 12°).

Nite all.
