Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

Loving Hazey

It was tough getting out of bed on Tuesday morning.

4°C and even though my alarm sounded at 6.25am, I couldn’t find the courage to face the cold air until 7.20am. From there it was a rush to get ready and arrive at meditation class on time.

I was late 🫤

There are quite a few regulars away on holidays or working, so it was a light class with only four in attendance. Light classes are my favourites because people are more open and more talkative. I always feel closer to everybody at the end of those classes.

The Gypsy and I met at our regular seat at the lions Park, where we spent three hours chatting over snacks of banana and blueberries.

It was perfect Winter weather with clear skies and it was much warmer than the beginning of the day!

I arrived home after 12.30pm. I made lunch and parked my butt on the couch for the afternoon where I enjoyed a short nap.

I was not in the mood for cooking, so I asked Adoring Husband to buy some meat from the butcher to cook on the barbecue. BGWLBH made coleslaw and a garden salad to serve with the protein and I got to enjoy a meal completely prepared by other people.

Quite delicious.

Today, Wednesday, was very quiet.

AH drove into The Bay to run some errands.

BGWLBH did some housework.

I binged on The Great Pottery Throw Down.

I received a great video from Vegan Chickie of little Hazey spelling words out loud and giggling like a cheeky little miss. I smiled so hard, my cheeks hurt.

I baked sweet potato in the jacket and white potato in the jacket. I served the white potato topped with coleslaw and sour cream. I served the sweet potato topped with chicken and veg, chopped parsley and pine nuts.

They were well received.

We played trivia and everyone was in bed by 7.30pm.

Now, it’s already approaching midnight!

Nite all.
