Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

Gloomy Bay Day

BGWLBH and I drove into The Bay early enough to have breakfast at The Coffee Club, shop at K-Mart, go to the bank, update our lotto tickets and visit QBD book store.

Our next stop was Pialba to exchange some sheets in Big W for Adoring Husband’s bed, checked out the new stock in the lady’s boutique and the arts/craft store, shopped in Coles and Choice.

Our third stop, was Eli Waters for Farm Gate fruitnveg, the bakery and seafood.

Oh! We also stopped at Office Works!

Of course, Su Jus Cafe was on our itinerary.

It was a very grey and gloomy day with a maximum of only 17°C which is very cool for this neck of the woods! I overheard lots of conversations between people complaining about the temperature.

I quite enjoyed it and the forecast for the weekend is for cool weather, so I might spend some time in bed under the covers.

It was a big day and it’s now almost 11pm. I’m ready for sleep.

Nite all.
