Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

The Next Week

Number One Son’s new puppy named Meeko …

How cute is that???

I had a nice phone call with No 1 Son this evening. Not all of his news was good and there has been a hell of a lot going on in his life, but it was good to hear his voice and all things considered, he is doing ok.

My Monday was pretty quiet.

Adoring Husband offered me a trip into The Bay, but his requirements in town were work related and I only have a couple of things on my grocery list AND I didn’t have the motivation to make myself presentable.

We watched a 3 part Allen Border series about his ten years as captain of the Australian cricket team.

BGWLBH and I cut up our excess passionfruit and bagged them in small packs to freeze for smoothies.

For dinner, I cooked a zucchini slice, sweet potato wedges and a chunky salad the same as last night.

We played trivia until The Block came on.

It’s going to be dang cold in the morning and meditation is on. I’m not looking forward to getting out of bed.

However, it is now time to sleep.

Nite all.
