I thought that I might spend part of my weekend in the art room making jewellery or finishing some acrylic art paintings that have been waiting very patiently for me to return to them.
While the idea seemed appealing, my motivation and enthusiasm was less than energised.
On Saturday, I watched the new Netflix movie with Sally Field called “Remarkably Bright Creatures”.
I LOVED it - needed tissues - I adore Sally Field as an actor. I also adore octopuses, one of which played a main role in the movie. I highly recommend this one.
Otherwise, football and golf took a lot my attention.
I missed 2 games in my footy tipping. I’m very annoyed that I changed one tip at the last minute and shouldn’t have, but I am, however, in the lead by 2 points now.
The golf is being played in USA, so it’s not even televised until around 10pm - I leave the TV on with the volume on low, all night, so that I can doze on and off and see the live scores each time I wake up.
I admit, it’s not very restful and I have felt quite weary all weekend because of it, but I do enjoy the golf, especially when my favourites, Adam Scott, Jason Day, Rory McIlroy, Tommy Fleetwood and Cam Young are playing.
Today, I made a trifle with BGWLBH’s leftover birthday cake. Raspberry jelly, custard, sliced peaches, fresh strawberries, whipped cream and chopped pecans sprinkled on top. It was delicious.
I received phone calls from Number One Son and Bubbles for Mother’s Day and a text from Vegan Chickie. Adoring Husband bought me a lovely plant. My best Mother’s Day for a number of years!
Easy spaghetti bolognese from the freezer for dinner.
We did play some trivia and were all in bed before 7.30pm.
I think I’ll sleep well tonight.
Nite all.
