Yes, I did visit The Motivator at The Happy Abode, but I didn't stay long.
I need to take 'time out' so, taking The Motivator's advice, I left the shop and rode along the river taking a few photos, sitting for a while enjoying the sunshine and admiring the crystal clear waters of the river.
There are a LOT of pelicans about at the moment and even though it was the wrong time of day and the light was way too bright, I decided to photograph some of them anyway ...
It was 1pm when I arrived home and it was almost a 'tag team' situation when Adoring Husband received an emergency call and had to leave the house. He returned a while later, only to leave again to greet the First Aid trainers at the SES shed.
Next, it was my turn to leave and attend my usual Friday night at the club.
Lots of new stock arrived at the shop after I left, so there will be plenty to play with next week!
Right now, I'm off to bed.
Nite all.
I'm lazy and selfish and spend too much time on the internet. I love to be creative with photography and jewellery and sketching with pencil and pastels. I'm happier now than I have ever been and I love everything about my life ... where I live, my home, my fantastic grown up children, my lifestyle, my friends, my dogs and last but not least my wonderful adoring husband. Life is good!
Nice to see you!
Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.
Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.
Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**
Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!
So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!
Welcome to my dilemna!!
