Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

Sweet Sunday of Rest

Check this out … if you dare

mRNA vaccine toxicity from Doctors for Covid Ethics

My only activities for the day were cooking breakfast and playing with Harley.

It is 4pm and I am still wearing my pyjamas and laying in bed watching the football.

I’ll get up in a minute to put a chook in the oven for dinner but I’m not doing baked veggies. I’ll make potato salad, coleslaw and a garden salad. That feels easiest for me and I probably won’t eat dinner anyway.

I’ve watched two movies today.

The Adam Sandler movie “You Are So Not Invited To My Bat Mitzvah” which stars his daughters, among others. I really enjoyed it.

The other movie was a recommendation from BGWLBH and I didn’t recognise the name at first, but when I looked it up, I realised that I had seen it before. I chose to rewatch it anyway because I did remember that it was a good  movie but while I was watching, I’d forgotten most of it. “Carrie Pilsby” is its name.

Time to make my way into the kitchen.

Nite all.
