Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

A Slow Day

Three of three tips correct so far this week!

A very uneventful day.

Harley play.

“Fend for yourself” food day, so heated some of my frozen home made cauliflower and potato soup and added cooked fresh salmon and chopped spring onions to the mix. Very nice for brunch.

Tonight I had mini dim sims.

I watched an odd movie called “May December” with Julianne Moore and Natalie Portman on Netflix.

I napped on the couch for a little while.

I watched the football this afternoon and evening.

Right now, it’s Wimbledon time, but most play has been suspended due to rain.

There are two Aussies playing tonight as well as Djokovic, but who knows when they’ll actually get on the court.

I’m taking good care of me this year so I shall get some sleep early and if I wake during the night, I’ll check the games by turning on the TV, then watch them if I’m feeling up to it.

For now, it’s …

Nite all.
