I saw my boys at the Seat of Knowledge before heading off to morning tea with the girls today.
The river was clear and blue and it was a gorgeous Spring morning by the water.
I met the girls at 8.30am for coffee and didn't leave to return home til after 11am!
I made a zucchini slice for lunch.
Watched the movie 'Crazy Stupid Love' for about the 30th time .. I just can't ignore Ryan Gosling in this movie. I also love Emma Stone and my favourite parts are the 'photoshop' line and when he does the Dirty Dancing scene with her. He's just a bit yummy.
There was a huge line of storms heading in our direction from the West this afternoon, but as usual, they separated and skirted around us. Just briefly, there was a rumble or two in the distance, but no rain for us, unfortunately.
I enjoyed my social Tuesday very much and tomorrow is lunch with the ladies, so it will be a social Wednesday!
I have a good life :)
Nite all.
I'm lazy and selfish and spend too much time on the internet. I love to be creative with photography and jewellery and sketching with pencil and pastels. I'm happier now than I have ever been and I love everything about my life ... where I live, my home, my fantastic grown up children, my lifestyle, my friends, my dogs and last but not least my wonderful adoring husband. Life is good!
Nice to see you!
Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.
Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.
Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**
Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!
So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!
Welcome to my dilemna!!
