Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

Youtube Friday

An interesting day in the shop with the first sale of the day being a good one, lots of tyre kickers in the middle, and then a fabulous final sale of the day which included one of my large photos.

It’s another one of those times of the year where people are returning for their annual holiday and it’s so nice that they are coming in especially to say hello and check out the shop.

There was enough time between customers that I could watch loads of YouTube videos on the various methods of paint pouring. Oh the wonderfulness of it all! I can’t wait til Sunday, or maybe even Saturday afternoon to ‘have a go’.

Adoring Husband helped me shut up shop and I rode home to spend some brief chill time under the Bali hut before getting ready for the club.

I won three drinks in one of the draws, had a small win on the keno and was lucky enough to nab the final single seat on the bus home!

AH had dinner ready and we watched the footy together.

Now I am SO ready for bed 😴

Nite all.
