I've had a pleasant day which included the Seat of Knowledge, morning coffee, retail therapy, winning on the pokies and keno, helping a slightly inebriated Adoring Husband into bed, a lava chocolate cake and strawberry dessert and any second now .. an early night.
No photos.
I am very tired and looking forward to tomorrow night's Murder Mystery Party at the Bowl's Club. "Homicide at the Harrison House".
My character is of little importance .. thank goodness .. I will get to observe all the other more important characters and from what I've heard about other characters and their costumes, it's going to be a great night!
I think it's now time to climb into bed.
Nite all.
I'm lazy and selfish and spend too much time on the internet. I love to be creative with photography and jewellery and sketching with pencil and pastels. I'm happier now than I have ever been and I love everything about my life ... where I live, my home, my fantastic grown up children, my lifestyle, my friends, my dogs and last but not least my wonderful adoring husband. Life is good!
Nice to see you!
Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.
Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.
Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**
Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!
So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!
Welcome to my dilemna!!
