Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

1930s cartoon shows how to take over the world

Looks and sounds a bit familiar.

This happened today …

(SUPREME COURT CASE LODGED AGAINST NT GOV)
United NT Businesses is an organisation that was put together by NT local businesses to represent all NT businesses.
The organisation is upwards of 500 businesses that are funding legal action against the NT mandates challenging the legitimacy of the legality of CHO55 and the pandemic governmental action.

There is a FULL press release that I’m unable to share here.

My day has been full on.

We left home around 10am.

Stopped at G & D Products to grab some paper bags with handles. HBW were out of stock.

From there we drove to Go Natural where we stocked up on sauerkraut, goats cheese, dairy free cream cheese, raw honey, chicken feet (for bone broth), almond nut butter and other goodies.

Nana’s Pantry for blocks of premium dark chocolate to make protein balls for Adoring Husband. These also required mixed raw nuts and I picked up some fermented ginger beer while I was there.

Next was Stocklands where I discovered that my favourite shop, Su Jus Cafe will be discriminating against the unvaccinated from 17th December, so I wrote a note which read …

“I am disappointed to see that from 17th Dec you will be discriminating against the unvaccinated. This is the last time I will ever patronise your premises. You were my favourite. Good luck to you.”

A mandate is not a law unless you agree to it - they have obviously agreed to it.

AH made an appointment to get his hair cut - that meant we had an hour to kill.

We stopped at Bay Audio to pick up some hearing aide supplies.

We are prepping in the event that Covid latches on to us so my first stop was the chemist to get some supplies that were recommended by one of my fave censored doctors.

While I was in there, AH purchased a pooper scooper from Heaps Discount!

Coles was next. We don’t buy much from Coles because we choose to support our local supermarket, so I got some duck breast, lactose free mixed cheese, lychees, mangos, grapefruit, clothes washing detergent, toilet paper and dog food.

AH then attended his hair appointment while I purchased some fresh fruit and veg from the kiosk near the escalator.

Can you believe … no shoes … no clothes … no jewellery!

We stopped at Craignish on the way home where I selected some salmon steaks and some prawns.

We didn’t drive directly home because I had parcels at the shop to mail out and one to pick up from the post office.

After that was done, we drove home and I unpacked all the goodies.

No rest for the wicked.

I pulled out the slow cooker to make a big batch of bone broth

I dragged out my giant saucepan to make a bigger batch of hearty chicken and vegetable soup. Onion, capsicum, celery, carrot, pumpkin, mushrooms, garlic and chicken. Himalayan salt and lots of white pepper.

Then a smaller saucepan to simmer up a batch of natural quinine - only the peel of three organic or well washed grapefruit and three lemons simmered for 3-4 hours in 4 cups of filtered water.

Don’t lift the lid at any stage and when you turn it off, let it cool completely and squeeze the liquid out of skins into the liquid, then strain it into a glass container. It’s quite bitter so you can add some raw honey to help the taste

This is an analgesic, antibacterial, anti microbial, antiseptic and antiviral mixture. As a preventative, take one tablespoon a day. If you get sick, take it every couple of hours with zinc which propels the quinine into your cells for faster healing.

I chopped up the lemons to use for my lemon water this week and chopped/bagged the grapefruit to freeze for smoothies and slushies.

I peeled and chopped four pineapples to freeze too.

We ate chicken soup for dinner and we are watching another fluffy Christmas movie before bed.

I’m exhausted!

Apparently there’s no coffee with the girls tomorrow so my training room can remain as it is and I don’t have to go to work early.

Bonus!

Nite all.
